Senior Accountant

Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Finance or CFO, the Senior Accountant will perform accounting functions in accordance with US GAAP and be responsible for general ledger activity, internal controls, financial analysis, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation. The Senior Accountant must be a true business partner to the finance leadership and other business leaders. Must have a passion for working with various systems to capture the right data, analyze it, interpret it, and report on it. The Senior Accountant will foster an environment of continuous improvement, with a strong emphasis on the fields of cost accounting, reconciliations, reporting, data integrity, and dealing with auditors.
Responsibilities:
Create the documentation monthly, record the results to the GL, analyze our product and services margin by sales order, and report on the reasons for being out of scope.
At the end of the month, prepare the accruals and GL entries for the respective balance sheets and P&L accounts, including sales accruals, commissions, etc.
Involved with treasury functions including payments to vendors, moving of money between accounts, etc.
Help prepare accurate monthly financial and managerial reporting for Exponential Power’s leadership team, equity investors, and board & lender
Guide Financial Analysis into insight and recommendations for integrity and credibility of financial reporting through NetSuite GL and MS Excel
Track reporting functions accurately for various subsidiaries under Exponential Power with preparation for consolidation.
Work with various Auditors for annual audits.
Help create, manage, and maintain accounting policies
Report on variance analysis, performance improvement, and value creation.
Implement process improvements while maintaining strong controls and leveraging automation when possible.
Assist senior management team with due diligence of potential acquisitions, leading financial integration of newly acquired businesses.
