Job Description:As a Payroll Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential in maintaining payroll records, calculating wages, and resolving payroll discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Maintain payroll records and documentation, including employee timecards, attendance records, and tax withholdings.
Calculate wages, deductions, and adjustments, including overtime, bonuses, and commissions.
Process new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure payroll-related processes are streamlined and efficient.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar role.
Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
