About the Role:

Are you a passionate English teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students? We are seeking a dynamic English Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Barnsley. Starting in September 2024, you will play a crucial role in nurturing students' love for literature and language, helping them to achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students of varying abilities.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning experiences.
Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
Contribute to extra-curricular activities and school events.Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in English or a related field.
Experience teaching English at secondary level (Key Stages 3, 4, and/or 5) is preferred.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.Desirable:

Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
