Machinist/Engineer
Perm, £27k pa (£13.85p/hr), Day Shift, Mon-Fri, 37.5hrs per week
SHEFFIELD
I am looking for an experienced Lathe Operator/Manual Machinist to work as an Engineer at a busy Manufacturing company based near to Sheffield.
Working under the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the manufacture of machine components and the maintenance of equipment on site. Day to Day tasks will include:
-Machine parts to a high standard
-Carry out preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery
-Ensuring quality of work is maintained
-Adhere to set procedures and work instructions
-Pre-use inspection checks and maintenance of equipment
-Raising any Health and Safety concerns
-Any ad-hoc duties as required
To be successful in this role you must have previous Lathe, Manual Machine or Engineering experience. Other Key skills required for the role include:
-5+ years on the job
-Ability to read and work from technical engineering drawings
-Welding, Abrasive Wheels, and Gas Awareness experience would be beneficial
-The ability to work as part of a team
-Possess good communication skills
-Able to work under pressure
-Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 17025: 2005 is advantageous
You will be required to work 37.5hrs per week on the Day shift, which will include a half day on a Friday. The role is advertised as Permanent and with a salary of £27k pa (£13.85p/hr).
