Full Stack Python Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Python Developer to join a Non-profit in London.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work with an organisation that will lead the Net Zero initiative for the UK.
As a Full Stack Python Developer, you will be joining a growing team of software engineers, data modellers, and quants. As a team, you will design, develop, and maintain our digital platform which comprises multiple applications including settlements tools, forecasting, calculation engines, data portals, and other applications that the business requires to help the UK achieve Net Zero by 2050.
You will have the opportunity to work across different project teams covering generation areas such as nuclear, hydrogen, solar, and tidal power.
You will create and execute the technology strategy that drives the transition to provide settlement, forecasting and supporting systems. Your work will positively impact the contribution to Net-Zero.
Must haves
* 3 years’ experience coding Python with Django framework
* 3 years’ experience with microservices and using related tools – e.g., Docker
* Docker Compose
* Kubernetes
* Logstash and use of messaging tools e.g., Rabbit MQ
* Apache Kafka. RESTful API development and management
* Transactional management. Databases – e.g., SQL
* PostgreSQL
* MongoDB and Linux OS.
* Experience with data science libraries is highly desirable
