Job Description
Noticias Telemundo is looking a for an Anchor/Correspondent to join our news team. The Anchor/Correspondent will be responsible for presenting live broadcasts including newscasts, breaking news, and special programming. The Anchor/Correspondent has a strong editorial background, follows current news events, contributes to the gathering of information for broadcast and can anchor breaking news with a high degree of skill. Generate story ideas, research, and write news stories. Present fair and accurate stories. Actively participate in daily editorial meetings with story pitches of interest to our viewers. Communicate with news producers, assignment editors, photographers and managers regarding story development and field/breaking news coverage. Stay informed regarding current events on a national and international level. The Anchor/Correspondent can work under pressure and strict deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the editorial line of the day.
Excellent writing skills, able to write clear, concise, compelling, conversational, and accurate copy.
Able to work on multiple assignments concurrently in a high pressure, breaking news environment.
Ability to improvise in a live broadcast.
Broad knowledge of national and international events
Work in collaboration with Assignment Editors, Reporters, and production crews
Work closely with Producers and Executive Producers on story planning and coordination.
Active in social media
