Accounts Receivable Specialist

Position Overview: 
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections. Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers.
Post customer payments to accounts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up with customers to facilitate collections.
Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and account balances.
Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and disputes related to billing and payments.
Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and escalate as necessary.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to address customer billing issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts receivable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve accounts receivable processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related finance role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (knowledge of Famous, MS Dynamic/NAV, SAP, Sage, etc. is a plus).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
