Società: Korzen Health
Tipo di lavoro: Tempo-pieno

We are currently interviewing for a Market Medical Director position. Please see the details below. If you are interested, please apply!
Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. As a result, the company is working to provide our differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients that would benefit through our out-patient clinic partnerships.
The Market Medical Director (MMD) is responsible for the oversight of medical care delivered within assigned Healogics Facilities. The Market Medical Director works collaboratively with the Medical, Clinical, and Operational Leadership in the assigned areas to develop and implement plans that assure Clinical Practice Guidelines are followed; desired medical outcomes are achieved; providers are supported in their practice performance; and performance barriers are removed. The Market Medical Director participates regionally in the advancement of wound care science and education. These medical oversight responsibilities account for approximately 20% to 50% of the role.
The Market Medical Director is expected to provide direct patient care in an active wound clinic setting. This allows the Market Medical Director to maintain clinical relevance when designing quality of care improvement projects. These direct patient care responsibilities account for approximately 50% to 80% of the role.
All Healogics employees must perform their job responsibilities according to all Healogics policies, Hospital policies, Post Acute Care facilities policies as well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation, and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Administration/Leadership
· The Market Medical Director reports to the Division Medical Director. The span of control and required effort will depend on the total number of centers at the enterprise level, geographic location of the centers, and the business needs of the enterprise within their assigned area.
· The Market Medical Director (MMD) in collaboration with the Healogics Specialty Physicians (HSP) operational partner:
Meets with the local medical leadership at the centers within their area on a regular basis. These meetings can be face to face, group, or virtual depending on the situational needs.
Supervises the assigned team of providers.
Reviews provider performance, quality and safety data and provides feedback.
Develops and periodically reviews and revises, as indicated, policies that govern providers in the centers and guides the facility regarding the professional qualifications of other staff related to clinical decision making and the provision of direct care.
Develops and periodically reviews and updates, as needed, key documents governing provider services, such as by-laws or rules and regulations.
Informs providers about policies and procedures and state and federal regulations, including updates.
Maintains confidentiality of all information-related parties.
Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, and supervisors.
Reviews monthly data from each assigned Wound Care Clinic (WCC) or Healogics Facility to include, heal rates, outliers, CPG compliance, patient return rates, advanced modalities, etc.
Participates in the interview and selection process for new providers to the area.
Assists, as needed, in the resolution of non-clinical or behavioral issues of assigned providers.
Responds timely to regional and corporate requests. The MMD is also a practicing provider and therefore flexibility will be necessary if the MMD is not immediately available. Although these situations will be outliers, a coverage plan will be necessary to accommodate urgent corporate needs.
Always performs as a role model of clinical compliance and personal integrity.
  Performs other duties as required.
Performs site visits, when necessary, to stay connected with Wound Care Centers and Healogics Facilities and to solicit feedback from sites. Acts as face of medical corporate leadership in centers.
Assures that Healogics provider processes are in place, i.e., MSR review, CPG compliance, marketing and outreach, compliant documentation, and coding.
Adheres to escalation of exceptions to the Division Medical Director.
