Engagement Officer
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £100 - £150 per day
Start: ASAP
Type: Full Time, Part Time
GSL Education are looking for an Engagement officer to work within schools setting in Chesterfield.
About the role
As an Engagement Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our pupils are consistently attending and engaged in their classes. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of classes and routines across the site, ensuring a smooth and efficient educational environment. Your experience and proactive approach will help us foster a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to improve pupil attendance and engagement.
Monitor and analyse attendance data, identifying patterns and areas for improvement.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and students to address attendance issues.
Coordinate class movements and routines, ensuring minimal disruption to the learning process.
Conduct home visits and meetings with parents/carers to discuss attendance concerns and develop action plans.
Provide support and guidance to students, helping them overcome barriers to attendance.
Liaise with external agencies and services to support pupil engagement and attendance.
Maintain accurate records and reports on attendance and engagement initiatives.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
Strong understanding of attendance and engagement strategies.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A proactive and solution-focused approach.
