Mechanical Technician

MC Technical Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to work at an Energy from Waste facility in Gloucestershire. The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the performance and maintenance of all Mechanical assets at the Energy from Waste Facility.

As the Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

Following all company and site safety policies and procedures
Ensuring all routine maintenance tasks are completed and recorded on the plants maintenance management system
Assist the Mechanical Engineer with reviewing, updating and modifying the plants maintenance plans
Manage plant improvement projects, assist in the development of work scopes
Work alongside the Mechanical Engineer to manage inspections, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly
Investigate mechanical faults effectively and rectify them to minimise plant down time
Support the plants operations on a 24/7 basis, being part of the plants on-call rota and working over time when required
Other duties as requested
To be considered for this role you should have:

Extensive maintenance experience, working in the Power Generation sector (Energy from waste, CCGT, Oil, Coak or Biomass
Have exposure to working in dynamic and demanding environments
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, Safe working environments, safety rules and outages
Hold excellent interpersonal communication skills
Be highly motivated and driven
Marine Engineers / Service Engineers with Mechanical experience encouraged to apply
