Website Manager
Dudley, West Midlands
£35,000 per annum + (depending on experience)
Permanent position
A National furniture retailer based near Dudley in the West Midlands, is currently looking for a Website Manager to articulate and execute strategies to grow sales and profits for the e-commerce business, drive footfall into stores, and increase the company’s overall brand awareness.
Responsibilities include:
* Reporting to the Directors, this person will be an important member of the leadership team
* Directly managing in-house creative content and design in the production of adverts (press and digital) and other marketing materials
* Working with development agencies to schedule and plan website development and maintenance in line with current strategy
* Managing the team to improve quality and traffic acquisition
* Research market to discover new trends and technologies to improve digital performance
* Analyse various data to deliver data driven strategies in order to deliver top performance and achieve KPIs
* Develop content calendar and oversee website uploads and landing pages development
* Shaping and delivering the ecommerce strategy to drive on/off-line traffic and sales and improve the customer experience
* Managing the customer database and communication using various channels, including email, post, SMS
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
* A Degree in e-commerce, business, information systems, or similar would be beneficial
* Previous experience in a similar managerial role is required
* Providing insight to optimise product and price point mix across a wide catalogue of products
* Confidence developing and overseeing retail and eCommerce-focused digital marketing strategies
* Excellent understanding of UX, web design, customer flow and web analysis
* Confidence in traffic analysis, reporting tools and optimisation
* Knowledge of Attribution modelling, website speed optimisation, A/B testing, conversion management, sales journey optimisation, traffic analysis and reporting tools
* Highly commercial with an analytical mind-set
* A hands-on approach and attitude to get things done
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in relevant reporting tools including Google Analytics
Nice to haves include:
* Understanding and experience in, UX, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Illustrator
* Knowledge and understanding of photography and videography concepts
* Broad experience of attribution modelling, website speed optimisation, A/B testing, conversion management, sales journey optimisation.
