Transport Controller

Pertemps Stoke are currently seeking a Transport Controller to join our client in Stoke-on-Trent on a temporary ongoing basis.

Main responsibilities of the Transport Controller role:
Review and amend daily transport plans
Management of short term driver absence and relocation of work
Accident and breakdown management
Be the point of contact for drivers
Manage driver performance to identify any major discrepancies
Ensure all enquiries from drivers are followed up/resolved
Other duties as required
Skills required for this Transport Controller role:
Transport office experienced would be advantageous
Able to work well under pressure
Good knowledge of Microsoft Applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Awareness of transport legal compliance would be an advantage
Details of this Transport Controller role:
Monday to Friday rotational shifts 5:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Hourly rate: £13.44ph - £14.28PH
