A unique job in production for someone looking for a smaller business, where they can see the value their production expertise can add. The knowledge, skill and experience you have acquired will have an immediate impact and the improvements more tangible as is often the case in smaller environments. This is a supportive and highly team focussed business and will allow for full autonomy.

The important thing to note is the working week is Saturday to Wednesday with early start and early finish either 5am to 2pm or 6am to 3pm. This will suit some out there who need early evenings and don't mind weekend working.

If you have worked in food manufacturing, you are experienced in managing production teams, you know how to balance the different skills across that team to maximise everyone's potential. You will have the right skill set for this role.

The business is a successful food manufacturer supplying the major retailers and foodservice sector. A successful SME with an outstanding reputation in their product category for quality and innovation, they have seen successful growth and that is continuing through additional customers. They are proud of their heritage. with long standing team members in their factories, they retain knowledge and continue to embed a team focussed culture.

Responsibilities of the Production Manager:

Managing a small production site - Saturday - Wednesday.
Working closely with the team being actively hands-on in the factory.
Driving consistency in quality.
Effective KPI management with a constant drive for improvement.
Effective team management.
Full autonomy to lead and run production.
Collaborating with all other functions.

A senior role in the business and you will be a key member of the Senior Management Team.

What experience do you need for this Production Manager role?

Production management experience in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Able to work closely with teams encouraging ownership and responsibility.
Constantly looking for ways to drive efficiencies.
Strong communicator, able to liaise with all managers.
High degree of numeracy able to interpret numbers to make fact-based decisions.
