Project Manager - Consultancy - Italy - Milan

As a Project Manager, your role will encompass providing comprehensive support to the Project Director across all phases of large-scale sports and entertainment venue projects, spanning from design through construction, testing, and handover. Your responsibilities will include tasks related to programming and budgeting throughout various project stages, as well as regular interaction with Owners/Clients, Architects/Engineers, and Contractors/Subcontractors. Experience in managing large sports, leisure, events, and hotel projects is crucial.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Champion and uphold an engagement-led culture focused on the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being.

* Develop a thorough Client Project Requirements document to guide the design management and subsequent changes.

* Assist in all project management functions, including organization, budgeting, programming, and project implementation.

* Oversee (or assist in) the procurement of professional consultants, contractors, and Client Direct Work (CDW) packages.

* Support design development through drawing reviews and document management.

* Review cost estimates and contribute to project budget reports.

* Monitor construction progress and potential scope changes in alignment with the program.

* Assist the Client in facilitating commercial partnership deals when necessary.

* Maintain essential documentation for all contracts, insurance certificates, and warranties.

* Coordinate and oversee the procurement/purchase orders of client-furnished equipment and materials.

* Manage project and design risk registers.

* Coordinate materials testing processes according to contract specifications.

* Assist in resolving on-site risks, issues, and design conflicts with project architects, engineering consultants, and subcontractors.

* Manage project close-out activities, including equipment acceptance, testing, commissioning, and compiling operational and maintenance manuals.

* Ensure the Contractor implements and maintains site logistics and safety procedures.

* Oversee the safe delivery of all Owner’s CDW.

* Monitor design issues and assist in swift resolution.

* Track open requests for information (RFIs), non-conformance registers, and submittals to ensure timely project advancement.

* Assist in monitoring and resolving project issues effectively and in a timely manner.

* Review and communicate changes resulting from change order requests with key client representatives.

* Conduct construction site tours as requested by the Client.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

* Solid prior experience in the construction or related services industry.

* Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

* Familiarity with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), construction change orders, budget formats, and architectural/engineering plans.

* Ability to comprehend and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, project programs, and agreements.

* Professional demeanor with effective interaction skills among clients, contractors, and project management teams.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

* Proficient multitasking abilities with the capability to adapt to new concepts swiftly.

* Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel
