Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MMA (Manual Metal Arc) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welder to join our team for exciting subsea projects and pipe welding operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding work on subsea structures, pipelines, and other related components. This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the most advanced and challenging projects in the subsea sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform MMA and TIG welding on various subsea and offshore structures, including pipelines, risers, and manifolds.
* Execute welding tasks according to project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
* Conduct thorough inspections of welds to ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.
* Collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop and refine welding procedures and techniques.
* Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of welding equipment.
* Work in adherence to safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a high standard of safety and environmental stewardship.
* Participate in risk assessments, safety meetings, and other related activities.
* Maintain detailed welding logs and documentation.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in MMA and TIG welding, with a focus on subsea and pipeline projects.
* Certification in welding, such as AWS, ASME, or equivalent recognized qualifications.
* Proven track record of working on offshore or subsea projects.
* Strong knowledge of welding standards and codes applicable to the oil and gas industry.
* Experience with subsea welding techniques and understanding of subsea environmental conditions.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency in using welding tools and equipment for both MMA and TIG welding.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
