AOCS ENGINEER x2
A globally leading Space Technology company are bolstering their Systems Engineering team looking for two ACOS Engineers to join them on a permanent basis, based in Glasgow.
The role is centred around the design, modelling, implementation, and testing of attitude and orbit control systems for nano and small satellites.
THE ROLE
As an AOCS Engineer you'd work with the Systems Engineering team to define technical requirements and to define mission analysis and AOCS scenarios for analysis.
Work with the Software Engineering team to transition algorithm designs to functional code, then validate implementation against models.
Perform on-orbit commissioning activities for newly launched spacecraft, including direct communication with the client's team.
Analyse test results from each spacecraft and perform hands-on testing on flight hardware
Support business development activities by collaborating with potential clients to elicit technical requirements and assess feasibility for proposals. SKILLS REQUIRED
The ideal candidate would have previous Control Systems experience within Space Technology:
Proven MATLAB or Simulink experience
The ability to work to meet tight deadlines and progress several different projects in parallel
Solid understanding of Spacecraft AOCS
Ability to debug issues hardware and/or software
Can understanding code (Python, Embedded C etc.)
Excellent technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skillsGCS is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
