Apprentice Quantity Surveyor

Bouygues UK have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor (starting June, College day release will start from September) to join a bustling and welcoming project team at the Oriel Project in London. The Oriel project is a new hospital currently under construction in central London (Borough of Camden).  As part of the team, you will undertake various tasks related to building services engineering (Mechanical & Electrical aspects of a building). This apprenticeship offers valuable hands-on experience, allowing you to work alongside experienced professionals while contributing to a significant project

Education Criteria:    

One of the educational levels required listed below :

A Level DD

BTEC National Diploma PPP

Access to HE Diploma with 21 Merits

Level 3 Apprenticeship in related subject 

Equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 64 UCAS points

5 GCSE’s including Maths and English (C or above) or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above)

Essential Skill set:

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Willingness to work outside normal working hours to complete university work/further learning

Interest in the Construction industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions

Attention to detail

Job Purpose and Scope

Observe subcontractor tender reviews and assist with M&E design costs

Attend meetings with team and MEP Contractors for project planning and coordination

Assist in reviewing Contractors' designs, programmes, and progress

Learn to monitor and report on procurement and labour schedules

Shadow experienced colleagues during Method / Risk / Health and Safety reviews

Support monitoring and coordinating M&E design information flow

Assist in preparing technical specifications, design reports, and innovative solutions

Manage input to Building Information Modelling software for design work
