Future Talent Program is a Trainee Program within Tetra Pak. We offer a permanent position from start in September 2024 at our site in Heerenveen, the Netherlands. You will onboard an individual-designed development program for 18 months connected to a specific position and the Tetra Pak organization. During the program, you will participate in trainings and job rotations throughout various parts of Tetra Pak to explore your potential and grow as a person. As a Trainee here with us, you will get to know our entire business and collaborate with colleagues all over the world. And this is just the beginning of your Tetra Pak career!â

You will be based in Heerenveen, the Netherlands.Within Tetra Pak's business stream Powder, we are now looking for a new colleague to fulfil the role of Mechanical Engineer in E&D.
As Mechanical Engineer you will be part of an engineering team which delivers mechanical design specifications and solutions for powder plants worldwide in a fast-changing environment. In addition to that the Mechanical Engineering team also supports sales, purchasing, issue resolution, development projects and plays an important role as Dryer knowledge centre for other parts of the organization. The projects will be executed internationally. The position includes regular travelling. What you will doAs a Mechanical Engineer, you will be working independently within the team but reporting regularly to the Lead Engineer/Project Manager. Your main tasks will include:
  • Engineering/drafting of E&D equipment and layouts.
  • Creating specifications for supplier components and equipment.
  • Supporting/executing workshop and equipment quality inspections worldwide.
  • Supporting the Sales department with specifications and budget.
  • Troubleshooting when there are problems in the field and/or during production.
  • Creating and checking technical files, (supplier) documentation, and information like spare parts, manuals, and certificates.
  • Participating in development projects.
We believe you have
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or acquired through experience.
  • Capital equipment implementation experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with a 3D design tool, preferably Autodesk Inventor or equivalent is required.
  • Having experience in the food industry is very important, but candidates with other industrial backgrounds (chemical, air handling, etc.) are also welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of standards like EHEDG, FDA, ATEX
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Independent, structured, and result-driven attitude.
  • Strong organizing and problem-solving skills
