Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting principles and tax regulations and will have a strong interest in advancing their expertise in tax compliance and planning. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns promptly
Assist in creating tax provision schedules, returns, payments, and reports
Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
Support senior tax accountants in tax audits and communications with tax authorities
Maintain and organize tax records and documentation
Participate in preparing tax forecasts and budgets
Assist in identifying and implementing tax-saving strategies
Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to the team
Perform other accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification required
5+ years of experience in a related field or as a tax accountant
Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
