Forsyth Barnes have partered with a leading utilities provider in their search for a Lead Data Engineer. The companies vision is to be the most customer-focused entity, leveraging data to make better decisions and automate customer interactions. The Principal Data Engineer will develop cloud data store, pipelines, and data products, ensuring efficient data flow and robust data models
You will optimise Azure services, driving continuous improvement as we transition to Azure, setting up for future growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead data engineering, maintaining data models, integrating data sources, and automating processes.
* Monitor consumption to maximize value.
* Oversee data cleansing and standardization, documenting business rules, and addressing data quality issues.
* Collaborate to shape the data journey and develop future-ready products and services.
* Advocate for data management and control.
* Develop your team’s skills for future growth.
* Contribute to the Data leadership team, promoting data ownership across the organisation.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience with Azure Cloud and Microsoft data technology stacks, preferably from a data management or engineering background with expertise in MS SQL, Azure Data Factory, and ETL principles and tools.
