Assistant Payroll Manager

Seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Payroll Manager to join a dedicated Accounting & Finance team. The successful candidate will have a profound understanding of payroll systems and an ability to lead a team efficiently.

Description

Oversee daily payroll department operations
Manage and guarantee weekly disbursement of multi-state payroll
Supervise payroll team
Ensure compliance with current government regulations
Establish and maintain employee records
Handle payroll workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
Support the planning, prioritising, and allocation of all relevant payroll work within your own and client's team.

Conduct payroll processing during peak times and delegate client work during periods of normal demand.
Review all payroll processing work of the team.
Supervise Seniors, Semi-Seniors and Assistants who are involved in processing of payroll.
Develop and build relationships internally for cross referral opportunities and to become a valued team member across the firm.

Profile

A successful Assistant Payroll Manager should have:

CIPP Qualified / Studier - Preferred
knowledge of payroll systems and procedures
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong problem-solving ability
Proficiency in MS Office and payroll softwareJob Offer
