JOB TITLE : SENIOR SOCIAL WORKER - CHILDREN'S SERVICES
LOCATION : COVENTRY
HOURS : FULL TIME - MONDAY TO FRIDAY

PURPOSE OF ROLE
As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in the Children’s Services team. You will be responsible for leading and managing complex cases, providing expert guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality social work practice.
Working with children aged 0 to 18 years, with complex care plans, and this can include areas of court work around discharge of care orders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead on complex case management, ensuring all interventions are in the best interests of the child.
* Provide mentorship and supervision to junior social workers and support staff.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and multi-agency partners.
* Contribute to service development and continuous improvement within the department.
* Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* A degree in Social Work and registration with [Relevant Social Work Body].
* Extensive experience in children’s social work, including child protection and care proceedings.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop others.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
