About the Role:
Major Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Coach Builder to join our client's dynamic team in Glasgow, Coatbridge. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the construction and repair of custom coaches and commercial vehicles. Key Responsibilities:
Construct and assemble coach bodies, including fitting body panels, doors, floors, and roofs.
Repair and refurbish existing coach structures to meet client specifications.
Work with various materials such as steel, aluminum, and fiberglass.
Install internal fixtures and fittings, including seats, luggage racks, and other components.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accuracy and quality.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
Perform quality checks and ensure all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Coach Builder or in a similar role within the automotive or coachbuilding industry.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong knowledge of various materials and construction techniques.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
