Shawthorpe have an exciting permanent position with one of our clients, a leading manufacturing company based in Telford, Shropshire.
Our client is well regarded within the industry, and as a Maintenance Technician you will have the priviledge of collaborating within a business who are dedicated to their employees and acheiving great results.
Job Purpose
Responsible for the mechanical running of site, so production can flow and carry out work.
Duties / Responsibilities
To adhere to all company policies and procedures and actively promote preventative maintenance, Continuous Improvement and its activities and services to others.
Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance work.
To be multi skilled to carry out mechanical and electrical repairs as required.
To diagnose machine faults and causes of breakdowns.
To liaise with production teams on maintenance issues.
Assist with the arrangement of specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings and components.
Assist with controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
Deal with emergency and unforeseen problems and repairs.
Carry out all other related and compatible duties assigned.
Complete and utilise daily maintenance SAP system.
To undertake any ad hoc projects as and when directed by the Continuous Improvement Manager.
Key Skills / Ability / Experience
Must have both Mechanical and Electrical Experience, multi skilled
Good knowledge of SAP
Ideally have worked within a manufacturing environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Working Hours
6/2 - 2/10 Rotating
Contracted Saturday Shift (1 week in 4)
Callout (1 week in 4)
