Extrastaff are currently recruiting for one of the UK’s leading Automotive OE small/medium volume component and accessory parts specialists based in Northamptonshire.
Requirements
* Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company standards. Regularly participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
* Welding: Utilize MIG and/or TIG welding equipment to fabricate parts and assemblies, ensuring all work meets quality standards and adheres to production schedules. Consistently review and interpret technical drawings and specifications to execute welding tasks accurately.
* Setup: Prepare and set up tools and equipment necessary for the welding process. Conduct routine maintenance checks on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
* Preparation: Prepare parts for welding by cleaning, grinding, and setting up materials. Accurately track work orders and progress using shop floor data systems and ERP software to ensure timely completion and traceability of tasks.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to identify and resolve any issues related to welding processes. Offer suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
* Flexibility: Complete additional tasks as assigned, including but not limited to assisting with inventory management, participating in team meetings, and supporting other departments as needed. Demonstrate a proactive attitude in taking on new challenges and responsibilities
