Role and Responsibilities:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring the smooth running of food service within the nursing home. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with food preparation and cooking as directed by the Chef.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
Supporting with food service during meal times.
Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Following food safety regulations and procedures.
Assisting with stock control and inventory management.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
Basic food hygiene certificate is preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate and respectful attitude towards elderly residents.
