Are you passionate about working with and supporting children with special educational needs?
A special school in Pontefract is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school caters for children and young people aged from 11 to 19 years with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs and Communication Impairments.
They are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time, long-term contract (Monday to Friday) to start in September.
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
To build strong rapport with the pupils and support with behaviour management if required.
To support the students academically with their learning to help them take leaps and strides forward with their education.
To work alongside the class Teacher with the day-to-day routine of the class.
To assist the support staff in providing the best care for the students and ensure their care plans are followed accurately.To work as a Teaching Assistant at this school, you should have experience supporting young people with special educational needs and preferably in a classroom setting to demonstrate your ability to provide the best support to the pupils.
