We have a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and customer focused analyst who can combine a structured approach to problem solving with the ability to contribute to process and reporting improvements, all whilst meeting critical internal and client facing reporting deadlines.

As a Commercial Pricing Analyst you will play a crucial role in optimising our pricing strategy and ensuring competitiveness in the market whilst supporting out Pricing, Category and Sector teams with reporting analysis.

The Commercial Pricing Analyst will be responsible for

• Understanding the pricing models in our business and providing reporting / insights
• Validating and reconciling price files to ensure accuracy
• Understanding available data sources and how these integrate with each other
• Maintaining and benchmarking pricing baskets to stay competitive
• Conducting impact analysis of price file movements across sectors
• Reporting on volume metrics against price files
• Managing vendor pricing setup, maintenance, and movements
• Monitoring & auditing own workings / outputs for accuracy and relevance
• Delivering initiative-taking ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decision making
• Developing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including procurement, commercial and Finance teams
• Developing exception and dashboard reporting on key pricing metrics and movements
• Being visible at business head offices to support operators as and when the business requires

The successful Commercial Pricing Analyst will :

• Have highly developed numeric and analytical skills
• Be able to analyse and evaluate large volumes of information from multiple sources
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Be able to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically
• Effectively plan and organise own work
• Be a team player with a positive attitude towards colleagues
