Domestic Gas Engineer – East Midlands area

Temp to permanent - £35k per annum + call out bonus

Our client is a leading multidiscipline engineering contractor who work across the East Midlands. They are seeking a talented Domestic Gas Engineer to join the business.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance: Perform regular and scheduled maintenance on domestic gas appliances to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety standards.
Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults in gas appliances and heating systems, ensuring timely and effective solutions for customers.
Safety Inspections: Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments on domestic gas installations and appliances, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with current health and safety regulations and company policies.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including reports on inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
Emergency Callouts: Respond to emergency callouts promptly and efficiently, providing solutions to urgent gas-related issues.

Qualifications:
Certification: Must hold relevant gas safe qualifications such as:
Gas Safe Registration
ACS Domestic Gas Qualifications (e.g., CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1)
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Domestic Gas Engineer.
Education: Relevant technical or vocational training in gas engineering.
Driving License: Valid UK driving license, as the role may require travel between customer locations.

Skills and Competencies:
Technical Proficiency: Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with domestic gas systems and appliances.
