CNC Press-Brake Operator

Our well-known client based in Biggleswade are urgently looking for a CNC Press-Brake Operator to join their team, on a Temp to Perm basis.
 
This is an opportunity for an immediate start, so if you are available immediately and have the relevant experience then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
 
The hours for the role are Monday to Thursday, 7am-4pm, and Friday, 7am-1pm
 
The pay rate for this position is up to £17.50 per hour (depending on experience)
 
Main duties as a CNC Press-Brake Operator:
- Produce good quality components to the required hourly rate
- Ability to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings
- Run, bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches
- Use a CNC controller to input information into machine
- Check height, depth and thickness using micrometres, dial indicators, callipers and gauges
- Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminium, and regular steel)
 
Skills and experience needed as a CNC Press-Brake Operator:
- Experience in programming and running the following Press-Brakes, Amada and Durma
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- To be able to use your experience to advise on the best way possible to manufacture the product for the internal customer
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well individually and as a team
- Strong attention to detail
