Genuit Group are recruiting for an Occupational Health Advisor, based at our Horncastle site.
Role: To provide a comprehensive pro-active, effective, and efficient occupational health service.
The post-holder will have a main base of work but will be expected to travel to other sites which will be in Loughborough.
Working Hours: This is a full time permanent role working Monday - Friday, 9:00am until 5:00pm. We do also offer hybrid working for this position.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement long and short-term objectives for Occupational Health.
*
Develop and deliver a risk-based Health Surveillance programme for all relevant departments. Write reports on findings to HSE and management team members.
*
Working with the HSE Department regarding risk assessments and other inter-related matters.
*
Advise regarding health matters related to working environment.
*
To perform drug and/or alcohol testing as requested by management and in line with our policy.
*
Involvement, where required in accident investigation.
*
Liaise with managers and HR regarding organisation of return-to-work advice and programmes.
*
Maintain confidential and accurate records both electronically and paper-based files, in line with GDPR.
*
Liaise with HR & managers regarding specific, risk based, on-employment medicals for relevant colleagues.
*
Identify areas where a risk assessment is needed and discuss with management and HR.
*
In conjunction with management and HR, maintain contact with colleagues during their periods of absence.
*
Key contact for the HSE department, attending regular meetings, providing advice and guidance on occupational health and any other wellbeing related matters.
*
Provide relevant management and colleague briefings on occupational health and related policy topics – including but not limited to health and wellbeing.
Skills & Requirements:
*
Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RMN) is essential – No restrictions.
*
Occupational Health qualification (Diploma or Degree) is desirable, but candidates with a strong background in Occupational Health, candidates with relevant transferrable skills or candidates willing to learn new skills and undertake training would be considered.
*
A qualification in HAVS would be desirable.
*
Experience of working within a factory/manufacturing environment with a diverse workforce is desirable.
*
Experience in work areas such as management referrals, health assessments and surveillance, individual case management and workplace assessment.
*
Be competent in the use of the software packages including Microsoft Excel and Word.
*
To support the development of the existing occupational health service by understanding the legislation and practical implications of occupational health & safety.
*
The ability to produce clear and concise reports to the intended audience.
*
Be able to work closely and effectively with HR and HSE professionals and other occupational health providers in order to provide an effective, efficient and cost-effective service.
*
Be able to identify key health issues and assist in the development and provision of procedures and solutions.
*
To work with external partners in order to utilise their services efficiently and effectively, including but not limited to, Occupational Health Physician, physiotherapist, counselling services.
*
Have the ability to advise and guide colleagues in a supportive manner whilst maintaining good working relationships and keeping within policy guidelines.
*
Be able to identify key health issues and assist in the development and provision of procedures and solutions.
*
To work with external partners in order to utilise their services efficiently and effectively, including but not limited to, Occupational Health Physician, physiotherapist, counselling services.
*
Have the ability to advise and guide employees and managers in a supportive manner whilst maintaining good working relationships and keeping within policy guidelines.
*
Have the flexibility to travel to other sites within the Group on a regular basis.
