HGV Technician required, working between the core hours of 8am - 6pm, overtime and call out fee to be discussed.
We're a very well established family based haulage company in South Shields that require an HGV technician to joining our team. The successful candidate must have at least 1 years experience and all up to date qualifications. Class 1 or class 2 license is desirable
Duties include :
*General HGV maintenance
*MOT preperation
*Fabrication repairs
*Understand importance of Operators license
*Understand pricing of materials
* Breakdown assistance when required
is seeking a talented HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join their team.
As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter, you will be responsible for:
* Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
* Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
* Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
* Road test vehicle when required (if holder of HGV licence).
* Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to your workshop controller.
To be successful in this role as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter, you should have:
* Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter is essential.
* Ideally have a formal qualification to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
* Must have own tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
