Team Leader

We are currently looking for an experienced Team Leader for my client based in Darwen, Lancashire.

Main duties:

1. To ensure all models and moulds are completed to the correct quality finish.

1. Allocating work to modelling/moulding team in the absence of Supervisor.

1. Checking quality of models and mould and returning for re-work when necessary

1. Conducting visual checks throughout the day, checking quality, ensuring all information is accurately recorded.

1. Resolving ad hoc modelling/moulding issues through liaison with the Casting team.

1. Making new models for sinks and block moulds.

1. Ordering plaster, raw materials, iron, wood, consumables, and ad hoc equipment for use in the Plaster Shop.

1. Cutting wood in Joiners’ shop for Plaster shop use.

1. Ensuring that housekeeping standards are always met, through the daily cleaning of the Plaster Shop

1. Ensuring that all operatives commence and finish work on time and that PPE is always worn.

1. Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are adhered to.

1. Understands the product range well.

1. Understands the process they are responsible for and the impact of its failures.

1. Has basic departmental equipment knowledge.

1. Has good communication skills.

1. Displays a positive attitude and uses initiative in day-to-day role.

1. Is willing to undertake training to develop in role and improve department performance.

1. Actively supports the continuous improvement process.

Hours are 06:00 - 14:00 and this is a permanent role for the right candidate.
