Medacs Healthcare is proud to be playing an integral part in delivering a new Functional Assessment Services contract on behalf of the UK Department for Work and Pensions. The contract will involve the delivery of more than 3.5 million health and disability assessments nationally over a period of 5 years.
Following several years of successfully supporting the previous Health Assessment Advisory Service, Medacs is now expanding service in our existing North England focus region supporting the regional prime provider of the new service.

Medacs Health Assessment Services has a very exciting new opportunity for an Audit Clinical Support Lead who will be responsible for the management and performance of the team of Health Professionals who conduct PIP audits in both the training academy and post-approval.

The CSL for Audits plays a crucial role in upholding professional standards by providing training, clinical support, feedback, and advice to all auditors. They also monitor the clinical performance of auditors to ensure that professional standards and service quality are consistently met, aligning with the requirements of the contract.

You will be working in a hybrid flexible manner incorporating working from any of our Yorkshire based offices and from home, with travel where the needs of the business dictate for site visits and training.

Here's some of the key responsibilities:

Certified PIP auditor for a minimum of 18 months, showcasing expertise in this field
Skilled in conducting audits and analysing complex cases to identify issues
Provides practical and efficient advice in necessary amendments
Excellent oral and written communications skills, including negotiation abilities
Offers guidance and support to enhance the practice of other health professionals
Line Management support for the team of auditors, including regular 1-1s, engagement activities, appraisals, development plans and performance management
Builds and maintains strong customer relationships
Adapts well to a changing work environment, displaying a positive attitude
Demonstrates versatility, flexibility, and effective workload prioritisation
Experienced in change management and successful negotiation with various individuals
Analyses clinical data to identify themes and trends for quality assurance
Adhere to professional practice standards and guidelines
Collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Maintain registration and continuous professional development
Meet Revalidation standards set by NMC, GMC, and HCPC
Demonstrate ongoing professional development
Interpret clinical data to ensure quality meets contractual requirements and target performance levels
Maintain positive working relationships with delivery and administrative staff
