Job Title: Works Manager
Salary: £negotiable + 25 days holiday + pension
Hours: Monday to Friday daytime (early Friday finish)
Location: Bolton
The Job:
* Manage the manufacturing operations for low volume manufacturing of high quality special purpose machinery & equipment.
* Prepare plans and work schedules.
* Forward planning and organising of materials and delegate tasks / toolbox talks.
* Team management - manage performance and quality of work.
* Implement new ideas and process improvement eg 5s or other lean techniques.
* Inspect completed works and ensure quality.
* Tool box talks as and when required.
The Person:
* Skilled sheet metal fabrication background or similar
* Experience of managing 10 – 15 shop floor staff. This may suit a Works Manager or Works Supervisor.
* Able to understand technical drawings - Mechanical craftsman technical experience or similar would be advantageous
* Good interpersonal skills and demonstration of leadership skills, communication, people management or projects / initiatives.
