The opportunity
Given recent and forecasted growth, an incredible opportunity has become available for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our well-established engineering consultancy who drive a safety-first approach to key UK projects?
The role
As an experienced Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for providing full commercial support to the contract, including providing effective leadership to the site commercial team.
£70-£80k per annum Depending on experience
Your duties and responsibilities will be
* You will be responsible for monthly commercial reports and contract reporting including calculation of receivables.
* Manage and provide leadership to the commercial team assigned to the contract, including performance reviews, development and task management.
* Responsibility for budgets and forecasts for the contract including analysis of risks and opportunities.
* Ensure the framework contract is appropriately administered, and the client is operating within the realms of the terms and conditions.
* Ensure that contractual elements such as rate increases, variations, notices and disputes are handled effectively and promptly.
* Management of receivables, the valuation process and invoicing to ensure that working capital is minimised and DSO targets are achieved.
* Preparation of monthly cost and commercial reports covering costs, revenue, profit, loss, working capital, gross margin, and financial performance.
* Supporting business development with new contract opportunities including calculation and review of rates, margin models and commercial terms, identification of risks and opportunities and participation in tender reviews.
* Commercial support to operational management.
* Preparation business unit board packs and analysis of KPI's.
* ensure internal processes and controls are adhered to.
* Development and implantation of margin improvement plan with local operational team,
* Project control management to all project works across the contract, including change management, cost control and EVA.
* Any other duties directed by the site manager and or regional/ commercial manager.
You will have the following qualifications and experience
* 5+ years commercial experience- industrial service sector.
* Management of commercial teams.
* Experience of TAR's, projects, and term maintenance work covering MEISIP services.
