About the company:

My client is a success story in the industry, having been through an impressive growth period since they were founded. Due to the increase in work, they are now looking to employ a Site Manager to oversee Fire Protection works working with a large public sector client of theirs.

The role:

The position demands an individual with a strong work ethic who will manage a Passive Fire contract, ensuring our Health, Safety and environmental obligations are met. You will need to build strong relationships with our clients and deliver projects on time and most importantly within budget.

The successful candidate will have:

* A minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing sites (passive fire preferred but not essential)

* A strong knowledge of Fire stopping and BM Trada

* Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to call, connect and interact with customers, suppliers and partners.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

* Problem solving and time management skills are essential.

* Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales

* Discussing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating the terms of business contracts

* Agreeing budgets and timescales with the clients

* Dealing with any unexpected costs

* Attending site meetings to monitor progress

* Liaise with site Supervisors/Sub contractors and clients to ensure they are kept up to date with the external accreditation requirements

* Must have a sound knowledge and understanding of all current and changing Building Regulations, CDM Regulations, COSHH regulations and Health and Safety at Works Regulations

* Site Health & Safety (SMSTS/ IOSH / NEBOSH or similar qualifications)

* Generate and issue reports and KPI data to the Fire Protection Manager

* Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Quality Assurance process
