Class 1 Container Driver

Class 1 Container (C + E) HGV Driver

We are working with a client who is seeking for more HGV Class 1 Container (Cat C + E) drivers to add to their team. The client is needing at least 1 -2 years' experience with containers. You would be working with coal, glass, salt and sand. Drivers will need a dock card along with knowledge of the Liverpool port is desirable but not a necessity.

Main responsibilities:

Being accountable for the safe and timely delivery of goods on the vehicle
Being responsible for securing the goods in the vehicle and unloading at each drop
Perform daily checks on the vehicle and trailer and keep the vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulationsExperience:

- Class 1 (Cat C + E) driving experience (1 year minimum for insurance purposes)

- Valid CPC

- Clean driving record

- Dock card

Location:

Birkenhead

Salary:

£15 ph - £19ph

Holiday pay accrued separately

Working Pattern:

Monday to Friday, alternative days (0800 start)
