Machine Operator

Our client, based in Essex, are looking for a Machine Operator to join their rapidly growing company. They are print and packaging specialists who are enthusiastic, supporters of their employees and their growth and wellbeing.
The Role:
Maintain and operate machinery
Confirm job details before feeding the press
Work enthusiastically to achieve production targets
Inspect pallets after cutting and complete daily quality checklists
Perform make-ready and preventive maintenance activities
Maintain accurate daily records of time, materials usage and production information
Assist with hand packing duties as needed
Adhere to all company safety protocols, hygiene procedures and allergy management
Report any potentially unsafe conditions issues to a supervisor
Communicate any quality concerns or customer complaints.
The Candidate:
Experience of operating machinery in a production/manufacturing background
Experience operating tab cutting machinery or Widmann packaging machines is desirable
Experience with hand jacks, electric pallet jacks and forklift certification (desirable)
Excellent attention to detail and quality
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
A willingness to learn and adapt
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Salary & Benefits / Shifts
The starting salary for this role is £12.50ph / £26,000pa and is dependent on experience. Plus, benefits including overtime, EOT beneficiary, competitive holiday allowance, and much more. The shift pattern is 40 hours a week, working an 8 hour day between the hours of 7am and 7pm.
