CNC Machinist - Milling

Job Type: Full-time (Days)
Location: Bredbury
Salary: £34,000-£37,000We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in milling to join our client. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for machining components to technical drawings and specifications, ensuring quality and adherence to HSE legislations.

Day to Day of the role:

Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture components from engineering drawings.
Perform self-inspection of work to ensure it meets the required standards.
Conduct preventative and general maintenance checks on machinery.
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental legislations at all times.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Proficiency in setting and operating CNC milling machines.
Capable of editing and proving out CNC programs.
Competent in using a range of measuring equipment, such as micrometers and verniers.
Sound knowledge of geometrical tolerances and a good attention to detail.
Strong team player with a can-do attitude and self-motivation.Accountabilities and Performance Measures:

Produce components to the correct standards in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain high levels of housekeeping and adhere to the 5S program.
Demonstrate excellent timekeeping and attendance.Job Requirements:

Previous experience within the Oil and Gas industry is preferred but not essential.
Minimum of 5 years' experience operating CNC machines.
Must have completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or hold a similar qualification.
Experience with Fanuc controls is advantageous
