Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning company in a brand new role and brand new studio!

The successful applicant will be the first photographer on site and will play a vital role in developing the future team.

As a Photographer, you will play a crucial role in capturing and preserving moments for our FMCG branded and retail clients. Your eye for detail, technical expertise, and artistic vision will be essential in producing high-quality images that will be used for various purposes, including packaging, marketing materials, websites, and social media platforms.

You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will collaborate with internal account teams clients, designers, food stylists and other team members to ensure that the desired images are achieved.

You will be responsible for capturing the essence of the subject and creating visually compelling images that meet the specific requirements.

You will play a pivotal role in translating concepts into visual narratives, leveraging your creativity and technical expertise. Your passion for photography will shine through in your ability to capture moments that evoke emotions and convey powerful messages.

Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with creative teams and client briefs to ensure the successful development of projects. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be evident in every aspect of your work, from arranging scenes and lighting to post-processing images.

Ultimately, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact through your exceptional photography skills, contributing to the creation of visually compelling content.

Responsibilities

* Collaborate with clients and internal team members to plan and execute photo shoots.

* Fine eye for detail to capture product shot in line with brand.

* Select and set up appropriate equipment and props for each shoot.

* Ensure proper lighting and composition for each shot.

* Edit and retouch images to enhance their quality and aesthetics.

* Stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in photography.

* Take the brief to understand specifications and work closely with our creative team to develop the concept.

* Capture and process images until you achieve desired results.

* Constantly improve image quality using various editing methods

* Use and maintain modern and traditional technical equipment (cameras, lenses etc)

* Arrange objects, scenes, lighting, and background to adhere to specifications.

* Archive photographic images and maintain database.

* Maintain an in depth understanding of photographic best practices and procedures.

Requirements

* Manage and run a photography studio, including hiring home economists, and mentoring junior staff.

* Experience working within a packaging agency, particularly as a photographer.

* Proven experience as a professional food packaging photographer

* Client facing.experience

* Proficient in using DSLR cameras and other photography equipment.

* Strong understanding of lighting techniques and composition

* Excellent knowledge of photo editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom

* Meticulous, well organised, and technically proficient.

* Proven professional shooting experience.

* Eye-catching portfolio

* Proficient with traditional and modern equipment, shooting, lighting, and printing skills.

* Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Capture One or other photography specific software.

* Competency in applying photographic best practices and techniques.

* Knowledge of production process and various printing applications

* Photography degree or similar
