An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client an established housing provider in the UK. My client has a large portfolio of supported living projects and offers generic housing management and supported housing services.

Vacancy Brief:

* The job role is that of a Support Worker.

* This is a potential temp to perm vacancy.

* A full-time role, 37.5 hours per week

* Work pattern is 7am – 3pm and 12pm - 8pm shifts (mixture of morning and late shifts)

* Pay rate for this vacancy is £11.50 PAYE or £14.70 Umbrella.

* A current Enhanced DBS covering Adult and Child workforce will be required for this job role.

* Full UK Drivers license and access to a vehicle is preferable.

The Responsibilities:

* In your job role as a Support worker, you will be required to support and assist young people in developing the skills required to build resilience, overcome barriers and advocate for themselves, to enable them to move on into permanent housing, integrate into communities and maintain their independence in line with their specific needs.

* An important part of your job role will be to develop, promote and deliver direct, planned, and structured one to one activities and group sessions co-designed with the organisations Young People in line with support and coproduction plans.

* As a Support Worker, an important aspect of your role, will be to act as first point of contact and coordinate caseload engaging where appropriate colleagues, third-party agencies, and housing support to facilitate the move on of the organisations young people into their own accommodation in line with their support plan(s) and their specific needs.

* Furthermore, you will be tasked with adopting a person centred and trauma informed approach to build trust with the Young People and develop tailored support plans in line with the organisations Statement of Purpose and OFSTED regulations.
