Job Role: Site Manager
Contract Type – Fixed Term 18 Months
Client Site – Lille, France
Rate: Negotiable depending on experience
Earthstream are recruiting a Site Manager with a sound engineering background and French speaking.
The role
* Responsible for the execution and supervision of construction site of Automation project in France (Lille area)
* Opening of the construction site (office, IT supplies, work passes, entry permits, etc.) considering the contract, specifications and the customer/project standards.
* Responsible for the management of a construction site section and instruct and guide employees (internal & external) regarding work safety regulations, control of work results, etc.
* Together with the safety specialist, responsible for occupational safety on the construction site and create and maintain current risk assessments.
* Responsible for carrying out and monitoring the implementation work: This includes the execution of the mechanical & electrical installation and commissioning, in terms of content and personnel.
* Define and monitoring the onsite implementation sequence and timing taking into account the customer’s launch time schedule.
* Central contact person for the customer and project manager for the construction site section.
* Record and evaluate over- and under-performances and communicate these to project management.
* Responsible for all the logistic related with site.
Requirements:
* Completed an apprenticeship in the technical and industrial field and have completed a corresponding further training as a technician/master craftsman or have a comparable career path.
* Many years of experience in installation and commissioning in the automation sector (preferably conveyor and warehouse systems)
* Experience in dealing with customers and customers relations.
* Initiative, flexibility, an independent and solution-oriented way of working as well as distinctive, proven organizational and leadership skills.
* Good command of written and spoken English and French (is a must), further language skills are an advantage. German language skills are advantageous
