Jackson Hogg are delighted to be exclusively recruiting an HR Advisor for a manufacturing client based in the Middlesbrough region. This is a stand alone HR role and a newly created position for the business as them embark on a growth journey.
As HR Advisor you will provide generalist day to day HR advice and support to managers, in line with employment legislation and best practice. As our client is a growing SME there is a real opportunity to add value, support with the development of new HR and people initiatives and projects and take ownership of driving strategic HR solutions.
Duties & responsibilities fo the HR Advisor:
* Provide proactive, effective, and efficient HR advice across the employee life cycle.
* Build the capability of managers through support and coaching
* Advise and coach managers on the delivery of employee relations processes
* Provide an effective HR administration service
* Provide the business with HR metrics and analysis including reporting on absence, attendance etc
* Oversee the recruitment and selection processes
* Manage new starter onboarding and induction
* Supporting with the development and implementation of new HR and people processes, systems
* Continuous development and upkeep of the company handbook, policies and procedures.
* Deliver HR projects and change initiatives.
* Provide data and insights to payroll, working closely with the finance team.
Qualifications, knowledge, and experience required:
* Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisory role
* CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent qualification
* Working knowledge of employment legislation and UK law
* Strong understanding of Microsoft packages, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Experience working within a STEM – Engineering, Manufacturing or similar environment is desirable
