They’re passionate about empowering employees to thrive and succeed, pride themselves in offering a workplace where your contributions are valued and recognised – now seeking a talented HR Advisor to lead a key operations facility in Merthyr Tydfil.
As a People Services Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering day-to-day transactional HR and administration of the People Services department, with a specific focus on supporting and advising middle management across the Group on people management processes.
This role would suit either an emerging HR professional or equally an individual looking to take a step back in their career, within a rewarding setting. This role operates on a hybrid nature – likely working pattern of 3 days based on site, 2 day working from home.
The Role
* Reporting to the UK Head of HR.
* Timely administration of new starters, leavers, variations to contracts, and processing of offers of employment ensuring the quality of work meets departmental and organisational expectations.
* As delegated by the Head of HR, attend & lead ER meetings as HR support, taking notes where required, and providing sound advice.
* Monitoring the department inbox and respond to day-to-day enquiries (both internal and external) in a timely and efficient manner.
* Acting as the point of contact for this sites People Services, in collating and distributing offers of employment and ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives that support organisational goals.
* Contributing to the production of information reports and data analysis as required by People Services management.
The Candidate
* CIPD level 5 or beyond, or equivalent qualified – Highly Desirable.
* 5+ Years proven experience in an HR Advisor, HR Manager or HR Business Partner (or similar) role, with a solid understanding of HR principles and practices – Essential.
* Logistics, Manufacturing or Construction sector experience – Highly Desirable.
* Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations - Essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility at all levels of the organisation - Essential.
* Problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Essential.
* High level of discretion and confidentiality - Essential.
