Are you looking for ongoing driving work?
Pertemps are currently recruiting several Class 1 Drivers (C+E) to work for our client based in Scunthorpe on an ongoing basis. You will be required carry out trunk runs and deliver goods to distribution centres or carry out trailer swaps in a curtain side vehicle. There is no handball with this role.
What will I be expected to do?
Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport goods and materials.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Secure cargo using straps, chains, and tarps as needed.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
Communicate with dispatch to receive delivery instructions.
Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.What shifts and start times are available?
We have day shifts starting from 05:00 and nights starting from 16:00 onwards.
There may also be an option for tramping.
How much will I be paid as a HGV Driver?
Days – Basic - £15.00ph - Overtime paid after 50 hrs at £22.50ph
Nights - Basic - £17:00ph - Overtime paid after 50 hrs at £25.50ph
Night out - £25
Which skills or experience do I need to apply?
2 Years minimum Class 1 experience
Category C+E (HGV 1) on your licence
Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification
