Basic Hours: Mon-Fri, 6am- 5:30pm
Overtime rate: Mon-Fri (Time + 1/3), Sat (Time + ½), Sun (Double Time).
Location: 90% of our work based in London, with occasional travel to work nationally at the expense of the company.
Having recently jumped on board with a handful of new clients and with having some large-scale projects due to land, a position is open for a ‘Site Surveyor’ to assist our onsite Installations team. This is a customer facing role, and personal conduct is paramount.
Main Objective: To conduct site surveys and snag works for the installation of bespoke joinery and furniture items for the high-end commercial client, items including but not limited to; Kitchen/Islands, Reception Desks, Reception Feature Walls, Booth Seating, Bleacher Seating, Ceiling features, Display Shelving, Storage/AV Walls.
Requirements:
* At least 5+ years’ experience in Carpentry/ Bespoke Joinery/Shop Fitting
* Confidence reading and understanding technical construction drawing/blueprints.
* Previous Site/Office fit-out experience
* CSCS Card (Blue/Gold) – Wood Occupations
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Full set of own hand tools; including chisel, block plane & electric drill.
* Handyman/trade skills such as plumbing, solid surface (advantage)
* Holds a clean full UK Driving License
* Experience driving a company vehicle (must have license at least 3years)
The Successful Candidate:
A physically fit, proactive communicator, with a firm understanding of joinery/carpentry. Ideally with experience, having worked withing the design and build office fit-out sector. Someone who is presentable, proactive, and approachable. Must be confident with use of joinery tools and finishes, have excellent attention to detail, with a good solid work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site surveys during the design proposal stage of the tendering process.
* Templating for items, to assist with design for manufacture stage.
* Liaise with internal departments as necessary to the stage of the project, including Estimating, Project Management, Design and Workshop to ensure all is coordinated and rectified in a timely manner.
* Quality level of snagging, remedial works or modifications to existing projects including minor repairs, additions, and small installation works.
* Follow site policies and procedures, in relation to site access, storage and facilities to meet the needs of client.
* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of RAMS/COSHH assessments provided, and other current construction conformities, legislations alike.
* Provide professional service to clients on behalf of the Company, with self-awareness and good personal conduct.

* Keen eye for detail, accurate, and mathematically precise.
* Punctual, honest, reliable.
* Good personal conduct, with good etiquette to communicate.
* Self-confidence in joinery trade to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Can remain methodical whilst under pressure.
* Can follow instructions as well as use self-initiative.
* Trade knowledge, with multiple trade skills including Joinery, solid surface fabrication, and basic plumbing is an advantage.
* Physical ability to travel.
