Landmarc support services are currently seeking to recruit a Team Leader at Okehampton Training Camp, Devon.

As the Team Leader you will be responsible for managing a team of operatives dedicated to Estate maintenance. Typical tasks conducted by the team include grounds maintenance, preparing military ranges and training areas for use and access control.

We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training Estate or someone who has a background of working in a rural environment.

This is a FullTime position 

Hours of work - 37 hours per week

Days of work - Mon- Fri

Contract - Permanent

Main ResponsibilitiesResponsible for co-ordinating the team and the first point of contact for task allocation, and work checking and process management

Be part of the team and not just a leader. 70% of the role will be working alongside your team

Assist in daily operations in the upkeep of accommodation and camp based maintenance duties

Lead the team with enthusiasm and the right attitude, motivating them to achieve their goals and daily tasks

Possess a good understanding of waste management and actively coach and mentor team members in waste reduction strategies, housekeeping and ground maintenance

Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to changes in processes and procedures

Showcase excellent IT skills to effectively manage and analyse data

Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance team productivity

Maintain a positive and professional attitude, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment

The Ideal CandidatePrevious experience in a leadership role is preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organisational and time management abilities

Proficient computer literacy, including the use of tablets and relevant software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Ability to work in a fast paced environment, motivating and inspiring team members, lead by example

Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes

Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility

Positive attitude and ability to embrace change

Ability to work within a team, but also alone

Knowledge of H&S including COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Full Valid UK Driving Licence. Essential
