Chemist

Chemist required. My client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Pyrotechnic solutions to the events and entertainment industry. They are now looking to hire an experienced Chemist to join their established team in Peterborough. The ideal candidate will come from a Chemical laboratory background, will be skilled in document writing and compliance operations, will be degree qualified in Chemistry and will be based within a commutable distance of Peterborough.

Chemist Position Overview

Design and develop new pyrotechnic products for a variety of shows, tours and events
Creating samples for both clients and certification purposes
Writing documentation to secure CE, American and Canadian certification for new products
Ensuring all products meet international safety and quality standards
Refining existing products for manufacturing efficiency
Updating and standardising working instructions
Regularly auditing products to ensure they meet performance and quality criteria

Chemist Position Requirements

Batchelors degree in Chemistry or equivalent field
Previous experience in Laboratory and production environments
A background in either Pyrotechnics or Chemical Engineering would be advantageous
Skilled in writing documentation for certification and compliance with international standards
Based within a commutable distance of Peterborough

Chemist Position Remuneration

Salary £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00, Friday 08:00 - 15:00
28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
