Salary: < £38,000 + Travel pay + works van
Working Hours: 7:30 - 16.30
Benefits: EAP, Pension + works van + fuel card + Travel pay (@ 1.5x rate) + available overtime (@ 1.5x rate)
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The mechanical fitter position will entail the general mechanical installation across clean water sites in the Thames Valley area. The role entails sitework installation and maintenance of many different items such as steelwork, pumps, valves, water systems & pipework to name a few, The role is very varied and would require travel to each site, Travel is paid and you would be provided with a works vehicle. The role would be site based and also workshop based. With general fabrication required from time to time such as measuring, cutting and drilling.
The following are key functions of the role but not limited to:
* Adhere to Companies Policies, Procedures & Legal Practices
* Adhere to the Companies Health & Safety Policies & Procedures
* Adhere to the Companies Quality Management system
* Adhere to the site specific rules & regulations & to leave sites clean & tidy
* To follow, read & sign the RAMS (Risk & Method Statements)
* Be able to read, understand and follow design drawings 2D/3D
* To carry out all required USK APP audits/checks in line with correct frequencies
* Work in a safe manner at all times and to follow the SSOW (Safe System of Works)
* Wear the correct PPE for the task in hand
* Take responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of all plant, equipment & materials
* To work a clean & tidy manner
* Be able to work individually or as a team
* Prepare jobs for site including loading all materials & equipment
* Carry out site installations for all products, including manual handling, measuring & drilling
* Carry out Fabrication tasks on site and in the workshop when required
* Driving (where qualified)
Additional information
The work is to be carried out on various premises including Sewage Treatment Works, Pumping stations, Clean
Water Sites and Construction Sites. The work may include working within the London Sewer Network and in Confined Spaces
